Lindsey's Tattoo

Located on her lower back
I always was fascinated with the idea of getting a tattoo. I wanted to get something that represented who I am. I have been a Hanson fan since the beginning, and they were a huge part of my teenage life. I thought that nothing would be more appropriate, and nonregretable. I always loved the Hanson symbol, and I thought it was cool the way they put their name into a design. I knew it would be perfect for a tattoo, because not everyone knows what it means. Then if someone asks I would have the perfect oppotunity to explain how great they are, rather than someone seeing "Hanson" written on me and not bother to ask, and assume bad things about them. The Hanson symbol is everywhere on all the cd's and everything, and I think it fits perfect! I love it! I got the tattoo on October 22, 2002. I was 18 years old and it was Zac's birthday. It was partly a tribute, lol. Then on March 14, 2003 I got three hearts added around the symbol on each side. They're red. I guess that was a tribute too, lol. I dont know what I'll do on November 17.... who knows. I went to Ancient Art Tattoo for the symbol and Skin Thrills for the hearts, both in Roanoke, Virginia. I was very nervous. Everyone at the tattoo parlor was asking me what it meant so I told them. They seemed surprised so of course I explained everything to them. It was kind of a numbing feeling. Since it was on the side of my butt, lower back, it didnt really hurt, until it went over that bone on your back. Afterwards, it hurt, and it felt weird at the same time. It's kind of hard to explain. But I felt really great about having a Hanson tattoo! I immediately went to where I work and showed them. One of my co-workers bursted out in uncontrollable laughter over the fact it meant Hanson. But once the swelling went down, everyone agreed it looked good. Other people that I show of course question me as to why. And of course I tell them the whole story. When I show Hanson fans at the concerts, they understand!
