Should Zac Have Been a Beatle?

hitzjazzcat:
Lulla Belle... wow, does this sound like a Beatles song, or what??? It's great! I love the french horn in the background... Very Beatles-esque!

hahahaha... i should have done a little more reading-around before posting this... it looks as though you guys have already figured that out... oh well!!!

zeus22:
i agree, even though i don't listen to the beatles that much.

zetsykat:
YES! hahah I thought that, too, when I heard lulla belle (<3<3 great song)

There's even some picture of him somewhere, from Taylors wedding, where he looks like one! (the hair, etc)

It's so funny

richieprep:
Interesting! I agree Zac has the most distinctive and original songs on the album. I think the French horn line is beautiful, and I also hear a clarinet and a flügelhorn (?). Who would play these, as no one is credited?

There's definitely a Paul McCartney influence in there, check out 'For No One' (although that's not a waltz).

Over the weeks, I've been racking my brains what this song so much reminds me of. First I thought Brian Wilson, but I can't think of any 'music box waltzes' he wrote. Next, I thought Billy Joel, who at least has done some in this vein: Night After Day and Piano Man.

But Beatles..I think Hanson should be a bit more adventurous for that. With the Beatles, it was always hard to guess what type of song would come next. Hanson is not as diverse as that. Even though, when Lulla Belle is their For No One, Crazy Beautiful is their Got To Get You Into My Life or Savoy Truffle, Underneath is their Hey Jude or whatever so there's a promise.

RhythmicVenus:
Underneath is their Hey Jude

I like that analogy... I smell yet another theory perhaps?

fangirl:
*holds up her complete score to 'hey jude'*

give me a public holiday and i'll get back to you!

HEYsara:
im not sure you can even compare hanson to the beatles. the beatles are in a classification of their own

rockangel77:
i love lullabelle itz soo prety i want to make the piano at the begining/end into a ring tone, but i don't know how to, it wold be a cool thing to have as a ring tone thou

fangirl:
im not sure you can even compare hanson to the beatles. the beatles are in a classification of their own

that may be, but people are going to do it anyway. i believe that both bands are a classification of their own, which, in turn, puts them under one heading.

erin7005:
No, I have been a Beatlemaniac for most of my life and I think that "Lullabelle" sounds way more like a Brian Wilson tune.

CaptainAmerica:
i believe that both bands are a classification of their own, which, in turn, puts them under one heading.

So they are different, so you group them together? ...ok.

That makes no sense. The only "one heading" they are both under is rock music. Every band is in a classification of their own, even the crappy ones.

Violetkitty22:
um..... no.

I think that the Beatles are way overrated. Not that being overrated is a bad thing, just annoying.

CarolineNYC:
Absoloutley. I mean, I even seriously considered Lulla Belle, or Lu La Belle... whatever, to be a Beatles cover. It's just so much like something that the Beatles would do and it is totally awesome in my opinion that Hanson can write like that. I'm a big Beatles fan so thats a pretty cool thing for me.

zacnbeyond:
hahaha. no.

so many people praise them they like are a freaking god but they really aren't that good. they are too overplayed/talked about/praised about/and whatever else goes along with those words i just listed. i know there is one word to sum it up but my brain is not working and i am completely annoyed at everything at this moment.
