Welcome to the first edition of the bi-annual Hanson.net Gazette News Brief. Happy 18th Birthday Taylor from all the fans around the world! Sightings There have been many different Hanson sightings over the past month or so. These have been mainly Los Angeles, New York, Tulsa and of course Sundance Film Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah, where that fateful peeing incident occurred! But I have it on good authority from my cousin's monkey's auntie, that they are currently recording in Los Angeles. Reports claim the band attended the Vertical Horizon concert on the 22nd of February at the Hammerstein Ballroom, New York. The encore for the show being "I Want You To Want Me" by Cheap Trick. As Vertical Horizon put it, "we heard Hanson were in the audience this evening and this is for them". Hanson also managed to sneak back stage to meet the guys after the show. This was not the only concert the guys have managed to catch in the past little while. They were sighted at the Billy Joel and Elton John, Face to Face concert in late January. They always claim that they have been huge fans of Billy Joel and it is no secret that the one of their first songs that they learned to harmonize on, was in actual fact by Bill Joel, "The Longest Time". Taylor and Isaac where spotted at the Sundance Film Festival, Salt Lake City, Utah. For people who don't already know, Sundance is a festival that celebrates documentary filmmaking and filmmakers. Rumor has it that the guys were there as they are interested in documenting the recording process for fans, which may be released later this year(I repeat MAYBE)! But hey, don't take my word on that! Not long after Taylor was interviewed by a local Salt Lake City 'alternative' radio station. During this interview, the peeing incident came to light for the first time. Taylor went into great detail describing the night and his little 'incident' off the roof! The U.S.A March issue of Rolling Stone, reported on the Sundance festival and made mention of Isaac and Taylor partying the night away with Radiohead. Hop on over to www.dyingtobealive.com/taylor/theend/html to view the transcript for the radio interview.
There is still no word on the release of Live at the Fillmore, as to when or if in fact it will be released. Save Me has been getting some airplay around the world. Various stations in the U.S are playing the song while other countries have the song appearing on different music video shows and channels. The song is doing really well, so call your local radio station and put out a request and keep the Hanson pride alive! Fan gatherings seem to be a way of fans getting together to discuss the one thing that they all seem to have in common, their love of music. For all the Australian fans that want to reminisce on last year's promotional concert in the Botanical Gardens, Brisbane, there will be a gathering of fans on the 25th of March.
