I will remember you
On the soft side of your membrane
Soft and wild
Electric seed
Emotional nigger

-Michael Acosta, 2001

_+the girl: born meghan leigh to parents who vocationally served as ordained minister and registered nurse, she was raised in a loving family as the oldest of two children. a classic type-a personality with yearly sinus infections and a penchant for all things related to the theater, meghan, at last count, has moved 21 times and sees no reason to end this pattern. an avid recycler, a philanthropic heart with a passion for the freedom of the tibetan people, and a devout christian with a radically different approach, she hopes that someone out there is touched by what she says and does.

_+the pseudonym: gretchen, which means pearl (a shared meaning with the name meghan) was actually pulled from two sources: a college newspaper office in-joke, and her childhood best friend's demanding dog. lucille, which means "bringer of light", was chosen in honor of Lucille Ball, a great comedienne, Lucy of the Beatles' hit Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and the Lucy of whom pop-act Hanson sings in their debut album, Middle of Nowhere. Tumulto is not, as far as she knows, an actual surname, but was derived from the root tumult, as in, tumultuous, to represent the unbalanced and unpredictable nature of her life history.

_+the vision: visqueux productions, incorporated, started as just an adolescent fascination with altavista.com's babelfish option: translating the word 'squishy' into various languages gave a fourteen-year-old girl quite the kicks. the french, however, stuck, and years later when developing her business strategy and looking for something unique to appropriately moniker her operations, meghan chose visqueux as her corporate image. the result, after years of planning and insane dedication, will, hopefully, be a treat for logophiles and pseudointellectuals the world over.

_+the truth: meghan leigh, gretchen lucille, is just a kid with a big dream and a penchant for rambling. sometimes she tries another project- learning to golf, or calligraphy, or making the world's best coffee cake. most of the time, though, she's content to just read and write a lot. donations of books to the personal library of miss meghan leigh are accepted and cherished; please send any donations to:
