Born in Chicago, Illinois on September 14, 1986, but later raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, it didn't take long before Andrew James Trauth knew what he wanted to do. Although his parents are musicians, along with his two older brothers, Pete and Chris, Andrew went into acting before he did music. He said in an interview, "When I was younger I was always bothering my parents about it [acting] and they kept saying okay hoping I would give up." Little did they know that acting would come a part of their son's way of living later in life. He started to take acting classes at his school when he was in 5th grade, but later transferred to an acting school in his town of Las Vegas at the ripe age of 11. It was when he was 13 however, when the two most amazing things happened to him that may have changed his life. He picked up a guitar and received an offer that he couldn't refuse. He landed his breakout role on a show that would get the attention of many of his up and coming fans.

Known as Alan Twitty on the hit Disney Show "Even Stevens", Twitty plays Louis Stevens' best friend. The character that AJ plays shares the emotion that Louis may bring to one of his crazy ideas, but Twitty knows when things may go a little bit too far and tries to keep Louis level-minded. Playing this role came more easily to Andrew, now called AJ, since they both play guitar and love to surf. Infact, AJ brings his guitar on the set of Even Stevens so when they take a break, he can go play. And as for surfing, the producer of "Even Stevens" took them to the waves three summers ago, when "Even Stevens" was in its first season. He can now bring his board to the ocean since he now resides in Burbank, California.

Having a busy schedule doesn't keep AJ away from his friends, though. When a fan asked him if he had any time to hang out with friends, he replied:

"This whole summer that's all I've been doing, but when I go back to work in September, I'll most likely only be hanging out with them on the weekends."

I wrote this bio not too long after I first visited AJTrauth.com so I didn't know too much about him at this time. There's more to his life than what I wrote, but I did my best.
