THE BRIDGE TO THE HEART OF THE MUSIC

Here I stand at the end of this long outstretched bridge
I look out in the distance and see you at the other side waiting there
The sound of your music begins and causes me to take a small step forward
And I begin my journey across the bridge to the heart of the music and you.

As I continue forth, I breathe in the sound that your instruments create
Your lyrics erupt from your mouths in song and encircle the air around me
It fills my heart in such a vigorous force that it drives me to continue onward
Across the bridge to the heart of the music and you.

There are times as I'm making my way where I stumble and I fall
But as I hear the encouragement and faith in your special words and melodies.
I get right back up on my feet and I start walking again
And I carry on across the bridge to the heart of the music and you.

Sometimes I feel my body start to tire and my spirit begins to grow weary
A heavyness falls on top of me like a weight apon my soul
But your harmony and your uplifting songs of confidence and trust causes me to regain my strength
And I burst forth again and I continue to cross the bridge to the heart of the music and you.

Finally the end of the bridge is within my sight
I know my journey across at times was long, hard, and sometimes I've wanted to turn back
But your encouragement in your songs, in your instruments and words tells me that I have made it, and yes...I CAN overcome anything
Because you helped me to not give up, I CROSSED the bridge to the heart of the music and you...... And I am so thankful I can now say that..."I am HERE!"

A BIG thank you to all who voted for this poem for Monica's Hanson Poetry of the Month contest for January 2002! I really appreciate it!
This is a poem I wrote last night which is going to be the theme of this upcoming section. I hope you like it. It's my first poem I've ever written that hasn't rhymed. LOL! But this poem is very special to me and has a deep meaning to my heart. I hope if Hanson reads this poem someday, that they will know the meaning of what I really feel about their music and them. I thought I would go ahead and put this poem up while this section is still under construction. It will give you something to enjoy until this section gets going. I hope you feel the special feeling I felt as this poem came into my heart.

I am now claiming this section of my site OPEN!! Although it's still very new, it is open and ready, and I am now able to tell you what this section is all about!

There is a bridge. A bridge that spans between the fan, and the heart of Hanson's music. In one way we all have already crossed that bridge and found the end when we heard the first few notes of Hanson's "MMMBop" and the birth of a Hanson fan blossomed into existence. It was then we found music that has changed our lives forever and has become a positive highlight in our lives.

But then there are times when we haven't yet reached the end of the bridge. Whether we have our dreams and wishes of going to our first Hanson concert or having the experience of meeting Isaac, Taylor and Zac, exchanging handshakes and saying "Hello" or "Thank you for bringing your music into the world." Or any wish or dream of Hanson you want to come true. It's a goal, a dream, that some of us still are going for. And we believe in our hearts that one day we will finally come to the other side of the bridge and can say "I am here."

I myself have not yet crossed that bridge. But I'm walking. I may stumble but I get right back up again and continue on my way. And one day I hope to see Hanson live for the very first time in my life.

But until then, this section is for stories sent in by fans who want to share their dreams and experiences with other fans. I myself love to read concert reviews, and stories of fans meeting Hanson, and also how fans discovered Hanson's music for the first time. So until we all can have our Hanson stories and experiences to share, you can read and see pictures here sent in from fans all over the world. Do you have a story of how you became a Hanson fan? Do you have a dream or wish about Hanson that you are hoping and praying will come true someday? Do you have an exciting Hanson concert experience to tell? Or have you had the chance to meet them and talk to them awhile? If so, I would love to have your stories and pictures, and I will put them up on my site! I'm already receiving several stories but I would like more! If so, please send me an e-mail with your story and pictures if you have any, and I will put them up to share with others.
