MOST-PRIZED: THE GOOD STUFF
<<< Back to Collection

I used to be a very avid collector, but in the past couple of years Iíve calmed down a bit. But there are still some items that I could sit and stare at forever! Below are my absolute favorite pieces of Hanson memorabilia that I own.

Boomerang and MMMBop

The independent albums that Hanson released before being signed to a label are the ultimate collectorís items! Since I found out about the existence of these albums, I made it my goal to someday own both of them.

My goal was realized when my boyfriend (now my husband), secretly bought them off eBay for what Iím sure was an exorbitant amount of money. The day I was able to hold my sealed, original copies of Boomerang and MMMBop is one Iíll never forget. After a moment of awe, I tore open the plastic to get a look inside.

These albums are very special to me; not only because they are rare, but because they capture the beginnings of a band that went on to change my life.

MOE Magazine, Issues 1-12

I loved being part of the first official fan club and having access to special merchandise and information. The magazine issues are very special to me, especially since MOE is no moí (I couldnít resist). Of course when the new fan club was launched I was one of the first to join. But the feeling I got when a new issue of MOE arrived is something I canít forget and something that canít be replaced!

Custom Painting

When the Shout it Out Platinum Package first became available in the H.net store, the thought of a custom record player had me salivating. But as the release date got closer and closer, I became more excited about the custom painting that I was going to receive. To think, I was going to get something personally created by one of my heroes, and no one else in the world would have it!

The guys would keep us up to date with the process of creating the 113 unique paintings through blog posts and videos on H.net. So when I received a painting that had been featured on the blog, it was so cool!

Zac created my painting. It was inspired by the song ďMusical Ride,Ē which is one of my favorite songs from Shout it Out. The lyrics are perfect, and have always spoken to me as a fan! I could not have asked for a better painting, and I will cherish it FOREVER. It is one of the most special things I own, and I am so thankful that the guys did such an awesome and unique thing for their fans... for me!

Below are some shots of my painting, as well as the Certificate of Authenticity, screen shots from when it was featured on the H.net blog, and the complete lyrics for ďMusical Ride.Ē

Musical Ride Written by I. Hanson / T. Hanson / Z. Hanson

Come on this musical ride, with me
It might just change the life you think you're gonna lead
And if Iím right you might just stop and see

Iíll take your breath away
Show you more than you have known
And everyday, Iíll give you all this, nothing, and more

Why, are you waiting, for what is left to know
There is no reason you should be standing still
Pick the destination, and Iíll pick the road

Iíll take your breath away
Show you more than you have known
And everyday, Iíll give you all this, nothing, and more
Iíll give you all this nothing and more

Donít make your mind up just yet,
Thereís still so much for you to see
And every time you waste a moment you waste make believe

I see it taking you hold
You must let go before it starts
This confrontation you keep feeling is your heart
Itís simple but somehow, letting goís the hardest part

Come on this musical ride, with me
It might just change the life you think youíre gonna lead
And if Iím right you might just stop and see
It might just change your life, it might just blow your mind

Donít make your mind up just yet
Thereís still so much for you to see
And every time you waste a moment you waste make believe

I see it taking you hold
You must let go before it starts
This confrontation you keep feeling is your heart
Itís simple but somehow, letting goís the hardest part
